Carolyn P. Jenkins is a retired educator, award-winning librarian, and first-time author of Blazing Toward Freedom. Born and raised in South Carolina, Carolyn has spent nearly four decades advocating for equitable access to quality literature and education. Her passion for culturally responsive teaching inspires her writing and curriculum development.
